Abstract:

Hyaluronic acid as a polymer is a unit of glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine and is synthesized by the hyaluronate synthetase. Sulfadiazine ointment is used as the most commonly used anti-inflammatory ointment of grade 1 and 2 and acts as an anti-L The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between hyaluronic acid and silver sulfadiazine in the treatment of burn wound patients. Methods and Materials: Our statistical population in this study consisted of 3 patients with type 1 and 2 burns referred to Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ardabil. The patients in the patient group were divided into two groups. The first group consisted of patients treated with hyaluronic acid ointment and The second group was treated with silver sulfadiazine ointment and hyaluronic acid. Measurement was performed on both pruritus by number criterion (0-100) and wound repair and analogue scale with direct and expert shooting and then photo explanation and analysis. Data were analyzed using t-test and regression-dependent samples. Results: The mean age of the subjects was 48.1 ± 1.9 years, of which 47% were men and 53% were women. Of these, 5% were from burns, 6% from gasoline, and 5% from burns. The lowest rate of burns was% 2 with gas and 6% with oil and the highest burn rate was% 2 with a mean burn rate of 42.19% between the wound healing time and the second group waxing which used both ointments. It was also faster than the first group (OR=95% CL=17/9 22/4/4=0.005). Also, there was a significant relationship between pain rate and numerical criteria (100-100) in both groups. (P = 0.004 O) R = 3 / 89-8 / 54 CL = 95%).Conclusion Based on the results, it is recommended that burn patients to use both hyaluronic acid and silver sulfadiazine ointments simultaneously to accelerate treatment.
