Records were screened and clinical studies investigated wound healing in HIV+ patients were included. Results: Four prospective and two retrospective studies were included. HIV infection leads to an increase of time to complete wound healing and delayed wound healing was associated with wound complications and infections in most of the studies. In two studies CD4 count and one study CD8 were correlated with delayed wound healing. Conclusion: HIV+ patients are at risk for wound complications and should receive more attention for their wound cares to prevent delayed wound healing.
