Today, transportation is very important for the development of economy and society of any country. Railway system is one of the safest transportation systems for passengers. High-speed railway vehicles are a type of rail transport that operates significantly faster than traditional railway vehicles. So, the study of dynamical behavior in high speed railcars is essential. In this paper, a high-speed four axle railcar with the Bo-Bo traction arrangement is comprehensively modeled. The proposed model has 66 degrees of freedom, 42 degrees for the wagon, bogies and wheelsets and 24 degrees for the traction motors. By doing some co-simulations of SIMPACK with MATLAB/SIMULINK, the dynamical behavior of the high speed railcar is investigated.
