Abstract:
Medical malpractice for the poisoned patient may occur for the following reasonsOmission:Non performance of an act which scientifically and technically is expected to be done.eg: Non-administration of naloxone for the opium toxicity.carelessness :Performance of an action which scientifically and technically should not be done.eg: Prescribing atropine for a patient with organochloride toxicityLack of skill:Includes cases in which the physician does not have the scientific and technical expertise necessary for a certain work.eg: Incorrect insetion of nasogastric tube and insert it to tracheaFailure to comply with government regulations:Namely, failure to pay attention to regulations, departmental letters, regulations of administrative superiors, medical system, Ministry of Healtheg: Not referring of sever toxic patient to the toxicology center if required and could be doneIt is hoped that compliants against staff will be prevented by complying with legal requirements
