Background and Aim : Given the vulnerability of our country to human and natural hazards formany years, especially in the area of health, managers have been working to assess the readinessof their management team to respond to hazards, most of the international standards of setpreparedness It examines the three functional, structural and non-structural domains, but it shouldbe kept in mind that evaluations are valuable when analyzed by specialized committees andmeasures taken to correct deviations from the standards. Planned and operational. On emergencypreparedness for disaster response, the World Health Organization (WHO) has provided a tool tomeasure the preparedness of hospital emergencies. In this study, we have tried to use the preparedchecklists of three general hospitals in Yazd city.Methods : This is a descriptive cross-sectional study based on the results of the evaluation by therespected secretaries of the Risk Management and Disaster Reduction Committee of the targethospitals. The data collection tool in this study is the emergency preparedness checklist of hospitalsaccording to the World Health Organization model.Results : The checklist includes 90 questions: Control and Command (7): 87.7 * Communica t ion(9): 82.2 * Safety and Security (11): 88.7 * Trial (10): 70.04 * Wave Capacity (13): 45.2 *Continued Essential Services (8): 32.2 * Human Resources (15): 50.5 * Material and InventoryManagement (10): 80.3 * Post-accident recovery (7): 41.4.Conclusion : As noted, the evaluation will be effective when the operational plan for correctionand improvement of weaknesses is written and operationalized by the hospital s specializedcommittees, fortunately it can be stated that the studied emergencies with respect to accreditationand emergency promotion guidelines. With a score of 64.28, the average score for disasterresponse is based on WHO standards, and more work is needed to increase preparedness in theareas of continuing service delivery, post-incident recovery and human resources.
