Best Approach to Endometrial Cancer in Young Women

Endometrial cancer patients are usually menopause. In young endometrial cancer women, followingissues are considered.Fertility Preservation (preservation of uterus and ovaries)In women with definite characteristics including well differentiated adenocarcinoma, tumorconfined to endometrium (confirmed by MRI), reproductive age with fertility request, nocontraindication for hormon therapy and awareness that this is not standard treatment.Infertility counseling with consideration of embryo or oocyte cryopreservation (few weeks’ time forthese methods exist)Ovarian tissue cryopreservation with no need to ovarian stimulation.Ovarian preservation for later fertility by surrogate uterus, or preservation of hormonal functionmight be considered in special conditions. Ophoropexy just before radiotherapy is an option, ifradiation is needed.Genetic tests should be done in endometrial carcinoma especially in young patients.Simultaneous ovarian cancer is possible in endometrial carcinoma.
