Relationship spiritual health and quailty of life in infertile couples referring to fatemiye hospital in Hamadan 2018

Background and Aim : Infertility as a public health issue in the world has produced important social andhealth problems and is one of the different factors affecting the quality of life of couples. One of the mostfactors affecting the quality of life of the couple is spiritual health, which enhances the ability of adaptationand psychological functioning. So, the aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between spiritualhealth and quality of life in infertile couples referred to Fatemieh Hospital, Hamedan, 2019Methods : This cross-sectional study included 245 infertile couples who had referred to infertility FatemiehHospital. Data was collected by standard world health organization quality of life and a spiritual healthquestionnaire and analyzed by SPSS V.16, using descriptive statistics, t-test and correlation.Results : The mean of the total score of quality of life in women (47.93± 2.7) and men (48.74 ±2.9) weremoderate and mean of spiritual health score were poor in infertile women 50.81±7.16 and men 48.90± 5.54.Also, there were no significant differences in score of spiritual health and quality of life among men andwomen.Conclusion : According to the low levels of spiritual health and quality of life among the infertile couple,it is recommended that gynecologists, midwives, and Health care providers, pay special attention not onlyto therapeutic aspects but also to psychological and social issues related to infertile women.
