Introduction: Abdominal migraine is one of the most challenging diseases among children. Abdominal migraine is actually a group of migraines with symptoms of abdominal cramp, nausea, vomiting and headache. The prevalence of Abdominal migraine is ~1%–9%. It is most commonly seen in children aged 4–15 years with peak incidence at 7 years. Most of the studies have shown a higher prevalence in girls compared to boys and Children with a family who have a history of migraines are more common. It is worth noting that abdominal migraine is a factor that a child cannot perform their daily activities, including going to school. Therefore, accurate and differential diagnosis of abdominal migraine is important in relation to other diseases such as Irritable bowel syndrome . reatment for abdominal migraine is nonpharmacological and pharmacological methods. non-pharmacological methods such as: lifestyle changes through stress reduction, various behavioral therapies including yoga, hygiene, diet change. The purpose of this review is to change the diet of these children to reduce or eliminate symptoms abdominal migraine. Methods: PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar electronic databases were searched using the following keyword: ( Diet OR nutrition OR Low oxalate diet OR Low lactose diet OR Life style ) AND ( Abdominal pain ) to January2020. Result: The results of this study showed that dietary changes include decreased intake of oxalate, monosodium glutamate, and lactose, which can help improve symptom. Receiving high-fiber sources helps improve the well-being of these children. Since abdominal migraine is likely to occur in the morning after waking up, It is recommended that children receive a high-fiber breakfast. In addition it showed, a similar IBS diet (Elimination diet) may be helpful for improvement abdominal migraine.Conclusion: Dietary modification, because of no side effects to the use of chemical drugs and also a longer shelf life, may be a more effective way to prevent and even treatment abdominal migraine.
