خلاصه مقاله:
An emulsion is a colloidal system in which a liquid has been dispersed in another liquid. Emulsions are thermodynamically unstable and surfactants are usually used in order to contribute to form a kinetically stable system. Nevertheless, surfactant-stabilized emulsions or classic emulsions demonstrate short periods of longevity. Pickering emulsions or solid-stabilized emulsions are colloidal emulsions that are stabilized by solid particles instead of organic surfactants. Dual wettability of solid particles is critical factor in order to enhance stability of emulsion, which can be achieved using low concentration of surfactant. In this research different surfactants (Triton X-100, C-TAB and D-TAB) and four nanoparticles (SiO2, Fe2O3, Fe3O4 and ZnO) are considered to evaluate stability of Pickering emulsion. Emulsions stability has been analyzed Using water separation and droplet size over the time. The results show, according to the centrifuge test, contact angle and rheological behavior, the stability of emulsion has been significantly improved using nano silica and low concentrations of D-Tab.
