Validity and Reliability in the Research

Instruments are key factors for collecting data in especially social science research. The purpose of instruments in research is to obtain relevant information in the most reliable and valid way. The accuracy and consistency of instruments are significant aspects of research methodology that are named validity and reliability. New researchers are frequently confused with selection and conducting of proper validity type to test their research instruments. This paper reviews and describes the validity and reliability of instruments and discusses different forms of measuring validity and reliability.
