Abstract:

In recent decades, demand for alternative sources of fossil fuels has been increasing due to climate change and its long-term adverse effects on the ecosystem and the world economy. Meanwhile, renewable and clean energy sources are important. Renewable energy sources have agreat potential to meet energy demand as well as economic growth and development, especially in developing countries. In Iran, according to the Energy Conservation Model Reform Act, various agencies, including the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Oil, are required tosupport the expansion of the use of renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, geothermal, small hydro, marine and Biomass, have been. Evidence shows that although Iran s potential for renewable resources is high, so far it has not been adequately exploited. In this paper, whilereviewing the status of renewable energies in Iran, the obstacles to the development of these resources in Iran have been discussed and finally some recommendation have been made
