Abstract:

and Aim: For many years, Staphylococcus spp bacteria is known as the most cause Background of hospital infections and humans are main reservoir for these bacteria. resistance accumulation and virulence factor in these species of bacteria has led to an increase in mortality and .finally global health concern The aim of this study molecular detection of staphylococcus spp in blood samples suspected to .sepsis and carriers in health centers in Zarand city, by PCR method Materials and Methods: A total of 120 blood samples from suspected sepsis patients and 54 nose swabs from the staff of the Zarand’s health center were collected. Swabs and 100µl of each collected bloods cultivated in Nutrient Broth culture medium NB . DNA extracted by .DNG-Plus kit and PCR test was used for detection of staphylococcus spp bacteria Results: 174 samples were collected that 162 samples 93.1% grow up in NB culture media and after testing PCR on them, 24 samples 14.8% were contaminated to staphylococcus spp bacteria that were contains of 16 samples of staff 66.6% and 8 samples of patients 33.3% , so in comparison to other studies, abundance blood infection caused by staphylococcus spp bacteria is increasing during past years Conclusion: In clinical infections rapid and accurate detection of infectious agents by molecular method is very necessary to prevent and treatment
