Parviz Azadfallah has a PhD in Health Psychology and became qualified in several international academic courses in Neuropsychology and Psychodynamic Psychotherapies. He started his scientific activity at the Psychology Department of Tarbiat Modares University (TMU) in 1999. He conducted many research projects and supervised 45 PhD theses and more than 50 Master dissertations. He established the University Counselling and Psychological Health Center in 2001. He also founded the Neuropsychology Laboratory of TMU in 2017. Azadfallah established the discipline of cognitive psychology during his responsibility as the head of the Psychology Department in 2018. He is also a member of the Cognitive Neuroscience Department at TMU since 2019. Azadfallah always had a sincere commitment to educating eminent students. His graduated students are now working at universities and research centers in Iran and other countries. His emphasis on the leadership of research projects, on the one hand, is based on experimental methods, and on the other hand, is conducted with the aim of knowledge construction through fundamental qualitative and culture-bound studies.
