Yaser Khorrami on computational photonics using numerical methods in photonics such as FDFD, FDTD, RCWA/FMM, MOL, PWEM, TMM, BPM, etc. in combination with optimization algorithms such as genetic algorithms (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO), algorithm cultural (CA) etc. has worked. Grating-based metasurfaces are the main structures of his research. Also, he has performed simulations on semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) structures and investigation of VECSEL lasers. In the last two years, he has been working on the subject of artificial intelligence, data science and big data, and computational programming education. One of his other interests is creating and editing the capacity of Computational optics and photonics, which is being implemented and gradually published for the first time in the country. He has a lot of executive and research experience in the field of design and development of satellite networks in the country, and he was the first designer of Iran's satellite networks known as IRANSAT at the end of the 80s.
