Tohid was born in Iran. He did his Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Guilan. He was a visiting research scholar at the Swinburne University of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Guoxing Lu and Prof. Dong Ruan. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at EYC. His research interest is Impact Mechanics. He specifically works on the behavior of metallic structures under large dynamic loads.
