Novel methods of utilizing solar energy for electricity generation– Three case studies

In recent years, the rising threats posed to the environment by burning fossil fuels has forced governments to consider green energy alternatives. In this article, three methods of utilizing solar energy from three different countries, including solar farms, solar roads and solar islands, are discussed along with the viability of their application in Iran.Mojave Desert in California is compared with Loot Desert in Iran. Solar road in the village of Krommeniein Netherland has been compared to Tehran situation and finally, Lipari Island in Italy was verified versus Abu Musa Island in south of Iran
