Abstract:
MRI findings among neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) patients are a part of diagnostic process and abnormal lesion patterns may result in deviation from a correct diagnosis. We reported, a 43 year old female patient with abrupt cognitive loss, motor dysfunction and tumefactive spread of the demyelinating lesions in her brain is presented. Anti aquaporine 4 (AQP-4) anti bodies were present and the patient responded well to NMOSD treatment. Our case report showed NMOSD should be a differential diagnosis for patients with tumefactive brain lesions.
