Abstract:

Background and Aim: In recent years, silver dressings have been of great interest due to their effects on gram negative and positive bacteria. Effective factors in choosing dressings include the amount of effective antiseptic effect, its effect on epitheliazia and its ability to control wound infections. This study introduces the successful case of silver dressing in recovering burn injuries.Case Report: A 31-year-old male patient with a diagnosis of 35% burns referred to 2 and 3 with the mechanism of explosion of the gas capsule to the 5-Azar burn center of Gorgan, which was alert and alert in the initial examination of the patient and had no respiratory distress. The serum therapy was performed according to the formula of Parkland. After 13 days of hospitalization and dressing change on a daily basis, on the 14th day the patient wore silver and returned after 8 days of dressing, which brought a striking improvement.Conclusion: In addition to the excellent recovery in the process of burn wound healing, silver dressing has reduced the stress associated with changing the daily dressing of the patient, which ultimately leads to repair and recovery of burn wounds in less time with higher speed.
