Abstract:
Considering the architectural context and the design data and culture and identity of the region are the primary tools of the architects in the design process and redefine the original design approach; this has led to a wider manifestation of design options and ultimately a more successful evaluation of the way. At present, disregard for the context of the design is common in many designs process, which undermines the architectural identity of the buildings in each territory, and thus leads to a nondescription and chaos in the urban context. In this regard, one of the main challenges for designers is to make connections between concepts derived from the cultural context in relation to global issues. This research uses library resources and an analytic-descriptive approach to study the impact of context on Architectural designs and also addressed the factors influencing contextualist architectural design and cultural contextualization features in the Gulf countries. In order to understand the methods and how to create a purposeful interaction with the context, this research has explored the components of cultural contextualism in the architectural planning system of Islamic countries with emphasis on the Persian Gulf states. Applying cultural contextual factors to the design of buildings architecture in the three areas of spirituality, creativity and heritage can create a cohesion and harmony between buildings with the identity and culture of the region.
