Abstract:

In this paper, at first, heating and cooling needs of region have been calculated and classified by using of HDD and CDD index. Zoning map indicates that there are 6 different climatic categories. Then climatic classifying map of heating needs in Guilan has provided, and compared to climatic categories of Gas Corporation that was presented to calculate the domestic price of natural gas. Research results showed that there is no situation in the studied region, and Guilan, in aspect of heating needs, has divided to 4 climatic zones. So that the average heating needs in mountainous areas is 2590 degree/day, and in piedmont and low height areas is 1500 degree/day. In analyzing the impact of independent factors on the Guilan heating and cooling needs, it revealed that Caspian sea has no impact, but on a coastal narrow area, however, the height considered as the most effective factor, so that per one meter increase in height, 0.85 degree/day will enhance heating needs, whereas, for the same amount of height, 0.79 degree/day will decrease cooling need.
