Abstract:
measuring different phase fractions (water cut. GOR and liquid flow rate) in multiphase flow of each oil or gas well is cornerstone of field studies and operations reservoir management , field development , production allocation and optimization. converntional method for measuring phase fractions is test separator which has some limitations. the use of MPFM (multi phase flow meter) has great potential economic impact onoil and gas fields. this is the reason for drive in NISOC (national iranian south oil company ) to follow to use MPFM technoloyg instead of conventional test separators. dueto different conditions of flow regime and fluid composition which have a great impact on MPFM measurement accurcy , selection of suitable MPFM for its exclusive application is critical . also , inorder to confident application an implementation of the MPFM technology and achieve optimal results it is necessary to have enough knowledge about MPFM different technologies and their advantages and limitations.
