Abstract:
A widebad printed dipole array antenna for microwave imaging application, is proposed in this paper. A prototype of proposed antenna is planer with small size of 1.55⨯0.69 (?2) which is operat in the band from 8 GHz to 13 GHz. Important characteristics of the proposed design are given with the simulations through CST-Studio. The array feeding is designed in corporate microstrip line, providing a compact structure. The antenna has a gain of 12 dB at a central frequency of 10.5 GHz. The designed printed dipole array antenna is simulated on substrate with 2.2 dielectric constant and thickness of 0.8mm. Compression of the structure, 47% bandwidth, low cost and high gain made this antenna suitable for various Microwave imaging applications such as security systems, Through wall imaging, specifically in X-band long-range radio communications.
