Abstract:

Determination of the appropriate plant density for each plant is one of the research needs of the plant. Therefore, in order to evaluate the most suitable plant density in of Dragon's head (Lallemantia iberica F. & C. M.), four masses of Kurdistan, Mashhad, Hashtrod and Heris were evaluated in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) at densities of 250, 300, 350 and 400 seeds m-2 in four replications fall sowing time in research field of Dry land Agricultural Research Institute (DARI) in 2016-17 growing season (Maragheh). Analysis of variance showed that the seed number per plant was significantly different (5%). However, Mean comparing density effect showed that treatment- 3 (Kurdistan landrace -density 350) with grain yield of 541 kg.ha-1 and treatment- 1 (Kurdistan landrace - density 250) with 492 kg.ha-1 grain yield had the highest grain yield among other treatments. Therefore, it can be said that the densities of 350 and 250 are relatively suitable for cultivation and the Kurdistan mass can be suitable genotypes for cold drylands areas of Iran Keywords: Dragon's head, densityو Kurdistan landraces, Grain Yield
