Abstract:
Power allocation in a wireless network is taken into account as a crucial problem. An approprate algorithm must be developed in order to control transmitting power so that the quality of service (QoS) of all users is gauranteed. In this paper, we focus on devising a control-theory-based solution which utilizes a set of PI controllers to tackle power control problem. Achieving a suitable signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) would be the object of interest to satisfy this QoS criteria. Since an explict model of a wireless celluar network cannot be accessible due to the time-varying nature of communication links, our scheme takes advantage of a completely data-oriented PI tuning method (which is based on RLS technique). Hence, all PI controllers will be able to tune themselves adaptively in respect to time. Finally, the performance of our algorithm is evaluated by numerical examples.
