Abstract:
In this paper, a new numerically wavelet-based method for evaluating the optimal control and state of the nonlinear Volterra integral system is proposed. The method employs finite cosine and sine (CAS) wavelets to approximate optimal control and state variables. The numerical integration and collocation method are utilized to discretize the continuous optimal control problem to large scale finite dimensional nonlinear programming. The reduced problem is solved by existing well-developed algorithm in Mathematica software. Here, the performance index of Lagrange type with nonlinear Volterra integral system is considered. The proposed technique is easy to implement and yields accurate results.
