Abstract:
In this article, super-continuum generation in Mid-IR range has been presented in a symmetrically graded slot waveguide comprised of As2S3 and SiO2. The geometrical parameters of the waveguide have been optimized to provide all-normal near-zero dispersion ( D < 7 ps/nm.km) in the wavelength range of 1.78-2.8 μm. The presented structure provides super continuum generation with a bandwidth of 1.5 µm at 15 dB level using the pump pulse with wavelength, time duration, and peak power of 2.4 μm, 50 fs, and 300 W, respectively at a length of 6 mm. The effective modal area and the nonlinear coefficient of ~1.33 µm2 and ~8.05 (W.m)-1 have been achieved at the pump pulse wavelength.
