Abstract:

این پژوهش گزارشی است از یافتههای یک تحلیل محتوای تصویری از مجموع ۱۳۰۵ عکس مرتبط با جنگ عراق (سال ۲۰۰۳) که در روزنامههای نیویورکتایمز (آمریکا) و گاردین (بریتانیا) منتشر شدهاند. درمجموع میتوان گفت این دو روزنامه روایت متفاوتی از جنگ داشتهاند. وجه بیسابقهای که در این پوشش تصویری وجود داشت، تاکید بر تلفات غیرنظامی شهروندان عراقی بود. هرچند که از تصاویر تلفات نیروهای نظامی بسیار نادر و کمیاب بود، ولی درهر حال انعکاس محدودی داشت.
