Abstract:

FeOx/TiO۲ catalysts are non-toxic, environmentally friendly and have remarkable low-temperature activity for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx with NH۳. In this study, a series of the FeOx-CeO۲/TiO۲ catalysts with different loading of Ce were prepared via impregnation method. The FeOx-CeO۲/TiO۲ catalyst with ۸ wt% of CeO۲ showed a good low-temperature SCR activity and sulfur-poisoning resistance. Compared to that of FeOx/TiO۲ catalyst, the NOx conversion over FeOx-CeO۲/TiO۲ catalysts was considerably improved. The loaded catalyst with Ce have shown to have higher surface adsorbed oxygen and more specific surface area which made it to have more surface acid sites that could enhance its SCR catalytic activity. Moreover, it was detected that added Ce over the FeOx/TiO۲ catalyst could improve its H۲O and SO۲ resistance.
