Abstract:

In this paper, how to operation power systems due to the uncertainty of photovoltaic power generation capacity is discussed. The main purpose of solving this problem is to determine whether the units are on or off at regular intervals in terms of all the constraints so that the cost of production reaches the lowest possible value with the entry of photovoltaic sources into the circuit. First, the uncertainty of solar radiation is modeled by a probability distribution function, and then the problem of unit participation is modeled and solved using by salp swarm algorithm. To evaluate the proposed method, studies have been performed using ۶ thermal units and ۳ photovoltaic units according to the correlation of solar radiation data to two different charge patterns. The simulation for each charge pattern is presented first without the presence of photovoltaic sources and then in the presence of photovoltaic sources with different penetration coefficients. The effectiveness of the proposed method in reducing operating costs due to the behavioral similarity of the radiation pattern with the charge pattern and also increasing the production of photovoltaic sources in the network is quite evident. The results of the simulations show a change in the operation of the units in the presence of photovoltaic sources and a reduction in the use of traditional power plants when solar energy is synchronized with the maximum load.
