Abstract:
The best known and most well-established isocyanide-based multicomponent reactions (IMCRs) are the Passerini three-component reaction (Passerini-۳CR) and the Ugi four-component reaction (Ugi-۴CR. In this study, the Passerini three-component reaction were conducted between Ibuprofen as an acid, aldehyde groups and isocyanate and expected range products confirmed by FT-IR and ۱۳CNMR, ۱HNMR. The in vitro antibacterial activities of this compounds were evaluated against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria using the cultures of three different standard microorganisms. Most of the compounds prepared as part of this study exhibited good antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus and Bacillus subtilis
