Abstract:

Present study was carried out to study the impact of teaching preposition to Iranian EFL learners through prototype approach across different proficiency levels.۱۴۰ females pre-intermediate and upper intermediate were participated in two experimental and two control groups. Pre-test and posttest were given in order to measure the subjects’ preposition knowledge. Treatment was ۱۰session. Finally, the data were analyzed using independent t-test. The results indicated that teaching preposition to Iranian EFL learners through prototype approach had positive effect on EFL learners ‘preposition knowledge. Furthermore, based on the results, there was no difference in the performance of participants at different proficiency levels.
