Abstract:
A stability analysis of optimal line-of-sight (LOS) guidance law is performed using gain margin and phase margin of the bode diagram. In this analysis, thestability of perfect and first-order optimal LOS guidance laws in one-dimension considering fixed final time is investigated using frozen-time assumption. The gain margin and phase margin are obtained using both numerical and analytical methods, although the analytical solution is limited to the second-order transfer function of control system. Moreover, the effects of weighting coefficients of performance index and the order of control system onthe gain and phase margin of the guidance laws are investigated.
