Abstract:

Isogeometric analysis (IGA) of the two-dimensional compressible hyper-elastic materials is investigated in this paper. In this regard, Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) basis functions are employed to appropriately estimate the displacement field. The represented matrix-vector form of formulation makes it possible to easily utilize the isogeometric solution. Through the Newton-Raphson scheme, the single-field governing equations of motion are solved. Finally, with no locking and instability issues reported in previous studies, two of the well-known benchmark problems are successfully analyzed.
