Synthesis and Characterization of demulsifier based nonyl phenol for water / oil emulsion separation

Demulsifiers are a group of special chemicals or surfactants that are commonly used to separate the amount of water in water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, usually in low concentrations. In this study, a demulsifier with good solubility in a variety of organic solvents, easy synthesis and inexpensive raw materials was synthesized, which was tested by various tests of its separation strength.
