Abstract:
This study aims to predict the capability of reading comprehension and vocabulary learning concerning English self-efficacy. The design of the study was descriptive and correlational. The data gathered by Self-efficacy (QESQ) Wang& Bai (۲۰۱۳) and the concentration (ACI) Baker et al., (۲۰۱۸) questionnaires. Prediction of English self-efficacy and concentration on reading comprehension and vocabulary learning through multiple regressions were investigated. Results of this study showed English self-efficacy has a direct effect on the reading comprehension of EAP students. Concentration does not affect reading comprehension. Therefore, modifying self-efficacy is critical.
