Enhancement of oil recovery by Plasma Impulse Technology; Economic investigation and Technical preferences among the prevalent methods

The applicability of plasma stimulation in the enhancement of oil recovery has been proved in recent years. The present study has revealed the production results of plasma impulse treatment which has been performed on about one hundred oil wells in Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Czechia and China fields. Furthermore, an economic comparison has been presented for plasma impulse action between the other common EOR methods. The positive effects of Plasma technology on extractability of crude oil is really noticeable besides considering the technical preferences of this high-tech. Fast operation, low cost, efficiency, persistent results and being environmental friendly are the priceless advantages of the current treatment. The success rate of over 90 % obtained by Russian operators, is a deniable evidence which can be a motivation for oil companies to move towards this new technology
