Abstract:

Solar energy is an essential source of renewable energy. the development of solar energy technologies will have huge longer-term benefits. while designing a building when the aim is to reduce energy use, Energy savings can be achieved from the reduced use of artificial lighting or from passive solar heating. Windows are the most common way to admit daylight into a space. Different types and grades of glass and different window treatments can also affect the amount of light transmission through the windows. the purpose of this article, is the Importance of using dynamic glass in building designs for sustainable energy development. Dynamic glass, has the ability to control natural light and significant potential to reduce energy use in buildings. SageGlass is advanced dynamic glass that can be electronically tinted or cleared to optimize daylight and significantly reduce energy consumption without the use of blinds or shades. It minimizes the energy needed to operate a building, harnessing the sun’s energy in the winter and deflecting it during the summer-all of which reduces costs. However, not only building owners benefit – architects are also given the freedom to design without the need for blinds and other shading devices that clutter the exterior of the building. Finally, Advanced windows can be a significant factor in reducing building energy use and ultimately in achieving net zero energy buildings. It will increase buildings sustainability, reduce pollution and lower the costs of mitigating global warming.
