A review of EFL Distance Learning during COVID۱۹:Obstacles and advantages

The outbreak of COVID۱۹ and the subsequent restrictions and limitations affected world people’s lives to great extents.Industries and social activities have undergone changes and computerized lifestyle has become the new ordinary.Educational system is an industry with the most striking changes, turning to e-learning and e-teaching from classroomatmosphere, via internet and computer-based software. In this review article, we aimed to review the most recent paperspublished on various aspects of Distance Learning during COVID-۱۹ and by reaching related themes, introduce thechallenges as well as benefits of E-Learning. The four reviewed articles are published in outstanding journals such asSustainability. we aim to summarize the articles in five categories: ۱) challenges and obstacles of e-learning. ۲) Englishdevelopment in Distance Language Learning. ۳) Investigating foreign language enjoyment and anxiety in virtual classes.۴) Blended vs. Online classes. ۵) Limitations of the papers and future works. The target language in this review article wasEnglish. The main focus of all ۴ articles has been English development. A number of software and technology tools havebeen studied in this article in different contexts. After close investigation of the afore-mentioned articles, some results aresuggested for further studies. The findings of this review research can be used in e-learning classes in times of crisis as wellas in a blended environment.
