Abstract:
Propylene, as the backbone of the petrochemical industry, is the second largest raw material of thepetrochemical industry in terms of global consumption (after ethylene has the highest consumption ofpolymer-based products). At the end of ۲۰۱۸, the global capacity of propylene was about ۱۲۸ milliontons and an output of ۱۰۵ million tons. In fact, the average global production efficiency is ۸۲%. In thismanuscript, the conceptual design of propane dehydrogenation is studied. The mathematical calculationof various equipment and economic analysis were carried out, the results show that the return oninvestment is about ۵۰% and the project is fully justified economically. The Total product cost anddepreciated cost and are ۳۵۸۶۶۹۲۱۲$ and ۲۹۵۷۷۱۸$/yr, respectively. It is highly recommended to studythis plan in detail, considering the current situation in Iran in terms of production of oil derivatives.
