Abstract:
Nowadays, the regulators utilize different forms ofreward/penalty incentives in electric distribution networks toguarantee the reliability of services. In the presence of RPS,distribution system company would be exposed to financialpenalty if they cannot provide reliable service to the customers.This means that the uncertainty in the reliability of servicesshows itself in financial risk faced by DSO. In such circumstance,DSOs are induced to reinforce the reliability of service throughreliability reinforcement projects such as preventive maintenance(PM) and switch placement strategies. In asset management pointof view, these strategies should be planned simultaneous becausethey have interaction together. Therefore, in this paper, optimalsimultaneous solution of the maintenance scheduling and thedisconnect switch placement is investigated. To verify theproposed method, it was implemented on a real distributionnetwork.
