Abstract:

Human history has shown numerous crimes, and governments and rulers have sought to punish the perpetrators from the beginning, and have even set themselves the primary mission of maintaining order and preventing the occurrence of these crimes. Welfare state means the existence of prudent and intelligent policies to ensure a minimum standard of living for all and to promote equality in life opportunities, and there is no doubt about the need for all official institutions to focus on providing public services. In the existing literature on welfare state, emphasis is placed on two basic principles: the provision of welfare services to ensure survival in a free economy and the existence of a democratic state. In this article, we will examine the welfare state as one of the types of governing governments in political societies, whose main purpose is to ensure welfare and prosperity, as well as to promote the common good for the citizens of society, and this is the question that arises. What role does the welfare state play in preventing crime? In this paper, the research method is conceptual analysis.
