Abstract:

The outbreak of Covid-۱۹ has put the world at a horrible state, which directly and indirectlyaffects death anxiety and resilience. The purpose of the study was to examine the relationshipbetween meaning of life with death anxiety and resilience during COVID-۱۹ Pandemic withquantitative and correlational methods. To this end, a sample of ۱۴۸ people (۱۰۷ women and۴۱ men) was selected using simple random sampling method and the variables were measuredusing Meaning in Life Questionnaire by (Steger et al., ۲۰۰۶), Templer's Death Anxiety Scale(۱۹۷۰), and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) (۲۰۰۳). The statistical method ofanalysis of variance was used for the main hypothesis and Pearson correlation for the subhypothesesand SPSS ۲۳ for statistical data analysis. The results indicated that the mainhypothesis had a significance level score of less than ۰.۱ and the sub-hypotheses less than ۰.۱,with a correlation coefficient of -۰.۳۷, ۰.۳۱ and -۰.۴۱. Therefore, the main hypothesis and thesub-hypotheses were confirmed and were significant. According to the results, one canincrease resilience and reduce death anxiety by strengthening meaning and giving meaning tolife to maintain mental health at the time of COVID-۱۹ outbreak.
