Abstract:

The concept of distributed generation allocation indistribution systems is one of the most important issues in thepower system studies. Despite the fact that the distributedgeneration units have a lot of advantages like reducing the powerloss and improving the voltage profile of the distribution system,with none optimal allocation, the power loss of the distributionsystem will increase and the voltage profile will encounter a badsituations.This paper proposes an algorithm to solve a multi-objectiveproblem with the help of GAMS software in order to find theoptimum size and location of a DG unit to reduce the power lossof the distribution system and to improve the voltage profile ofthe distribution system. The RSVI index is selected as voltageprofile improvement index. The power loss of the distributionsystem and the voltage profile improvement index is minimizedsimultaneously. The pareto set of the solution restriction isdetermined. The test system is ۳۳ bus distribution system. All ofthe simulations are implemented with GAMS software.
