Abstract:

Given the limited fossil resources and environmental issues in the world, today there is extensive research on policies in the field of consumption, productivity, energy optimization and changing energy consumption patterns around the world. Developed countries are rapidly implementing the existing solutions and proposing new methods in this field. Sustainable development means combining economic, social, and environmental goals to maximize the well-being of present-day human beings without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Sustainable development is a new way to achieve human aspirations while preserving resources and facilities for the future that requires laws and strategies to pave the way. The three main challenges in the field of energy to achieve the goals of sustainable development are global access to energy, the use of clean (renewable) energy and increasing energy efficiency. Renewable energy has a direct relationship with sustainable development through its impact on human development and economic productivity. Renewable energy sources provide opportunities for energy security, social and economic development, access to energy, climate change mitigation, and reduction of environmental and health impacts. The realization of these visions is challenging and in addition to development, research and research in this regard requires the imposition of taxes on energy and carbon and the development of energy efficiency and the gradual elimination of fossil fuels. Supporting private and non-governmental sector investment will pave the way for the widespread participation of new energy sources in energy supply, as this will results in reduced costs in the long run, saving national capital, increasing GDP, enhancing national income, creating job opportunities and protecting the environment.
