Abstract:

Diabetes mellitus is one of the most common metabolic disorders in theworld today and its importance is more due to its prevalence, long course, and complications. At present, patients with type ۱ diabetes control theirblood sugar with daily insulin injections. In recent years, much attention hasbeen paid to mesenchymal stem cells for their differentiation into insulinproducingcells, and studies have shown that bone marrow-derivedmesenchymal stem cells or other tissues can differentiate into insulinexpressingcells in vivo and in vitro. The purpose of this article is toinvestigate gene therapy in type ۱ diabetes. Qualitative analysis has beenprepared using new articles from PubMed and Google Scholar sites. In this study, Escherichia coli cells were used as hosts for recombinantvectors. HEK۲۹۳T cells are one of the cell lines that have the morphology ofepithelial cells and are considered as one of the best cell lines for theexpression of new genes and genes. The present construct is proposed as oneof the most suitable structures for the transfer of any type of gene to stemcells.
