Abstract:

Bereavement is an inevitable part of the life cycle, and in general, people show strong behavioral-emotional and cognitive reactions when dealing with calamities such as the death of parents, children, spouses, etc. For most people, the symptoms related to mourning improve with time, but a group of people do not have the skills and ability to solve the mourning process, which itself can be the source of many psychological problems. This issue shows the importance of addressing this issue. The purpose of this research is to investigate the bereavement disorder in the family and its psychological interventions. The research method is a systematic review of Persian and English articles from Persian databases such as Alamnet, Mag Iran, SID and English databases such as ISI, Psych info, sciencedirect, springer google scholar, Pubmed, in order to search for relevant articles in the field. They were used sometime between ۲۰۰۷ and ۲۰۲۰. Initially, ۲۰۰ articles related to this topic were found, and based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, finally ۳۹ articles were examined and their results were used. The results of the review studies of the research in question indicate that the diagnosis and treatment of bereavement disorder is important. Also, cognitive-behavioral therapy, group interventions, and family therapy are effective for improving complicated grief, and the use of therapeutic interventions at the onset of grief symptoms is more effective than their preventive use. Considering the cultural and religious background of our country, using Islamic teachings along with interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy can be effective. Treatment approaches that use technology to increase accessibility, use restorative techniques, and strengthen interaction in life (especially in the elderly group) are preferable for bereavement treatment.
