Abstract:

Most construction projects are not delivered on time. In some projects, the project master wants to complete the project at the specific time that is less than the normal project completion time. Obviously, it is better to reduce the project time with lowest cost. For this paper the data is collected about a canal construction project from the project supervisor. The linear programming model is applied to find crash time for each activity. Then the model is solved by Excel software, and results are obtained for each activity. Finally, the optimal cost related to the requested crash time was determined.
