Abstract:

In this study, we described the green synthesis of bio-graphene and its W-doped structure by usingArabic gum as a carbon source and soft template. The potential application of synthesized graphenes as thehigh performance photocatalysts for removal of drugs was investigated here under visible light. The resultingdoped catalyst shows the enhanced photocatalytic activities compared to corresponding non-doped graphene.The enhanced photocatalytic activity of doped garphene structures could be explained in terms of highersurface area, more defects for better absorption, lower band gap, and the tungstene active sites to the betterformation of oxygenated radicals for degradation of drugs
