Fault diagnosis and isolation for linear singular systems using bank of observers

this article discusses the Fault Detection and Isolation(FDI)problem in linear singular systems using bank of observer. We consideractuator fault and system with input disturbance. Necessary and sufficientconditions for the existence of unknown input Observer (UIO) are derivedfrom the FDI problem. Then extended exist method in standard systems forFDI problems to singular systems. Finally, numerical simulation results forlinear singular systems with actuator fault are presented to illustrate theeffectiveness and advantages of the proposed UIO in order to diagnose andisolate the fault in linear singular systems.
