Introduction: Viruses and bacteria areimportant factors in chronic and acute infections in the hospital environment so that it leavesirreparable side effects to the patients. To reduce these infections .The best, simplest and leastexpensive way is to observe hand hygiene by medical personnel ,And because the infection spreadseasily in the operating room and operation site .Therefore, the duration of hospitalization and rehospitalizationof the patient increases , which imposes a financial burden on the patient and thetreatment system. Therefore, hand hygiene in the operating room is important in preventinghospital infections. Target: From this study, the hand hygiene index of Hendrab and Handwash byscrub method is in the oncology operating room in a private hospital in Mashhad.Methods : A study of hand hygiene in two scrub methods in oncology operating room personnelis in a private hospital in Mashhad which includes ۱۰۲ cases of indirect observation by the infectioncontrol supervisor is by the method of Handrab and Handwash which used to collect checklistinformation Approved by the World Halth Organetion .Results : Average scores of hand hygiene in surgeons in the first operation is handrab۷۸%andhandwash۲۲% -in operating room personnel in the first operation is handrab۹% and handwash۹۱%, While in the second surgery of the surgeons is handrab ۸۹% and handwash ۱۱%. in operatingroom personnel in the second surgery is handrab۱۳% and handwash۸۷%.Conclusion : It was observed in this review The percentage of hand hygiene is decreasing in thescrub of surgeons and significant difference With handwash scrub can be seen in the operatingroom personnel. Non-observance of handwash scrub by surgeons is contrary to the guidelines forsafe surgery. Therefore, more emphasis on handwash scrub in patient safety indicators haveaccording to the defect of the immune system of cancer patients.
